| Stonefish is the local brand from Cabarete, located at the north coast of Dominican Republic. We are proud to create and produce our own designs, we also have great designs from marvelous people that share: our interest for the Ocean, the water sports, respect for the environment and the way of life. Most of our products are designed, produced, handled by local people, helping support the local industry. We also sponsor young Dominican athletes in different disciplines like Kite boarding, Surfing Windsurfing, Body boarding, Skateboarding and Motocross.We have co- sponsored several Kite Boarding World Cups, also Surfing, Windsurfing, Skateboarding Competitions in order to support our local talents in their respective disciplines. The idea of developing a Surf Brand has been present in my mind since a good while, but the name wasn’t. It popped one fine day after treating a delirious patient from the agony of a extremely painful experience from a Stonefish sting on his foot (Stonefish Encounter), it seemed to me an appropriate name for the Brand. It is deeply related to the Ocean, the surfers way of living, nature itself, it is well connected to our world. The Stonefish blends to the surroundings at the Reef with the rock appearance waiting patiently for its prey to appear, on its dorsal area has approximately thirteen stouts, which can inject highly poisonous venom to the victim. When purchasing or just visiting our store, our goal is to deliver a “Stonefish encounter of another kind” a pleasant one of course. We are located on main street at Plaza Cita del Sol, near Mini Golf.
