| La Escuelita del Callejon de la Loma Thanks to private funding, a new school has opened in 'callejon de la Loma' in Cabarete to help Dominican children learn and reach their goals by knowledge. This project is operational since September 2004. Approximately 40 children are participating every day already. The place offers a peaceful environment for the older children to do their homework efficiently and a nursery is available for the younger ones. Sometimes, it’s the only place where some of them can learn… There is a lot to do for education here in Cabarete, we need help to continuee with this project!!! Money, books in Spanish, clothes, furniture, educational games….are necessities as well as personal aid (people who are interested in helping out with teaching and guidance a few hours a week).
