Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the street, tourists and beach, Claro is the hidden gem of Cabarete. Located in Hotel Casa Blanca, just past Janet's Supermarket, Claro is a wonderful place to get a delicious and healthy breakfast or lunch.

The best word to describe the menu is FRESH! The menu takes traditional breakfast and lunch items such as omelettes, pancakes, waffles, sandwiches and wraps, and prepares them in an exciting and healthy way. The omelettes are fluffy, the fruit salad is fresh sprinkled with cinnamon and almonds. Every week there are featured lunch specials, which are sure to please. Each plate is prepared fresh with thoughtful care and attention to detail. Be sure to enjoy it with a glass of refreshing fresh squeezed juice, such as pineapple, passion fruit, or orange. A kids' menu also ensures that children and families feel welcome.

The atmosphere is at Claro is very relaxed. The dining area has an earthy feel with coral stone floors, a bamboo bar, and woven place settings. The owner, Sandy, is from Germany and is very friendly and inviting. She said a lot of her clientele are local residents who appreciate Claro's serene environment as an escape from the all the tourist activity on the beach. Anyone who eats at Claro is sure to appreciate a wonderful meal at this quiet retreat.
