All CLI courses are conducted in a warm, yet stimulating environment to encourage efficient language acquisition. Our courses balance theory with practice and place emphasis on oral communication. We use a variety of instructional theories and techniques to meet each student's needs.
Spanish Intensive Group
Our Spanish group course is held Monday-Friday from 9am - 12pm. The course begins every Monday and students may enroll in weekly increments. Upon arrival CLI will assess your level and place you appropriately in one of our group courses, ranging from beginner to advanced. Based upon student interest, additional hours for group courses may be arranged. Maximum of 5 students per class.
Private
Our private course is custom designed to fit your needs, interests, and schedule. Our students find this course beneficial because they have the opportunity to speak more often than in a group course and the instructor teaches at a pace the students find comfortable. Students may also choose to reinforce what they learn in a group course with a private course in the afternoon.
Intercambio (Language Exchange)
We realize the benefits of creating daily conversation in real-life situations, and therefore have created a free intercambio opportunity for all CLI students. For every 10 hours of class, you earn 1 hour of Spanish conversation with a Cabarete local. In exchange, you provide your intercambio partner 1 hour of conversation in your native language. During intercambio you create an authentic cultural and language experience while practicing what you learned in class.
