General Info Hotel Alegria is centrally located, yet offers a peaceful friendly atmosphere and personalized service, that distinguishes this family-run hotel from the larger establishments along the beach. Most guests at Hotel Alegria are returnees or have been referred to our hotel by former guests. With its two bedroom apartment and 13 rooms and studios, guests can choose between ground floor units with kitchenettes or upper floor units with balconies and ocean views. All rooms have private bathrooms, refrigerators, ceiling fans and cable TV. Rooms are furnished with queen size, full size and pairs of twin beds. Upon request rooms with two twins may be arranged with a king size bed setup. Air conditioning is available in one ocean view room and two studios at an additional charge. Wireless Internet is available in most rooms and common areas. Guests may use the hotel computer for Internet access upon request. Location Just east of the commercial center of town and the main stretch of beach bars and restaurants, the beach of Cabarete Bay curves away from the coastal highway that runs through town. Here is where the first cottages in Cabarete were built over 40 years ago. Today the neighborhood is a diverse mix of small hotels and restaurants, and numerous homes and shops of Dominican families who have lived here for generations, conserving the local flavor that has attracted visitors for years. Cabarete's top supermarket is at the highway entrance to this vibrant friendly community. Rooms Oceanview Rooms (21, 23, 31, 33) These are our most popular rooms, particularly for guests visiting Cabarete for the first time. Each has a private bath, refrigerator, cable TV, ceiling fan, wireless Internet, and balcony with a view of Cabarete bay. Options include a full-size bed, a queen-size bed or two twins. King size available upon request. A/C available in Room 33. Standard Rooms (20, 22, 30, 32) These rooms are popular with our economy-minded guests. Each room has a full-size bed, private bath, refrigerator, cable TV, and ceiling fan. Wireless Internet available in common areas and the restaurant, and to some extend in the standard rooms. Ground Floor Studios (11, 12, 13, 14) For the guests who want to be able to prepare their own meals,, we have these studios with kitchenettes. All have private baths and either a queen-size or full-size bed or two singles, cable TV, and ceiling fans. Wireless Internet is available in the studios and A/C available in Sudios 12 and 13. Studio 15 This is the studio for families or groups traveling together. Roughly twice the size of our next largest room, it is equipped with two full-sized beds, a single bed, a large sofa, ceiling fan, cable TV, a kitchen and a private bath. Wireless Internet available. Two Bedroom Apartment This spacious apartment was originally built for the hotel owner right by the access to the beach. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has two twins. Each has a private bathroom. It has a fully equipped kitchen and large dining and living areas. The covered patio runs the length of the building and fronts on a private yard with tropical vegetation and a hammock.
