Golf Course in Playa Grande

The sport of golf has definitely increased its fans and the Dominican Republic is no exception. In fact, the DR is has become an extremely popular golf trip destination due in equal part to its unique tropical courses and very reasonable green and caddy fees. There's a course just minutes outside Cabarete where you can enjoy a quick round of 9 hole fun.

For the more serious golfer, there are two 18-hole courses that will not disappoint. Both were designed by the famous golf course architect, Trent Jones, Sr. The first is located just 30 minutes away, in the beautiful Playa Dorada area. The other, Playa Grande, is just a little over an hour away. This course is considered to be one of the best in the Caribbean. Most likely due to 10 of its holes running along ocean cliffs with magnificent views of the sea.
